MY WALLEYE OBSESSION:

walleye

Being born and raised on the Shores of Lake Erie has blessed me with the chance to spend thousands of hours out on this beautiful body of water I call Home. My walleye fishing obsession started as a young kid when my dad and uncles would take me out with them anytime the weather would permit, casting Golden Nuggets and Erie Dearies to bag our walleye. I was away from Lake Erie for four years as I followed in my father's footsteps, serving our country in the United States Army. During my Army years I fished anytime and anywhere I got a chance. After my time in the Army, I headed back home to Lake Erie.

Since being home, I have covered the entirety of Lake Erie with my dad and sons where we were relentless in searching for monster walleye all the way from the West around Toledo, the East around the Ohio/Pennsylvania border, and as far North as Chubb Reef, North of Pelee Island. The tactics for catching walleye on Lake Erie has drastically changed throughout the years which lead us to start focusing more on trolling to keeping up with the West to East migrational patterns of the walleye. These migration patterns kept us traveling from port to port to ensure that we were keeping up with the higher concentration of larger walleye. Being highly mobile has always been a priority of mine that I'm proud to incorporate into my charter business. My father and I fished the LEWT (Lake Erie Walley Trail) tournament circuit and various other tournaments from 2001 to around 2017. During our years on the circuit, we were able to pull not only one, but two Team of the Year titles and multiple top five finishes.

Over the last six years or so, we took a break from tournament fishing to focus on fishing for these toothy creatures for our own enjoyment. We used this time to fish with family from near and far allowing them to also get to experience everything Lake Erie has to offer. I look forward to welcoming both newcomers and seasoned walleye anglers alike aboard my vessels to show how we fish, where we fish, and why we fish with the goal of catching some of the biggest walleyes that Lake Erie has to offer.
